Hackathon Modified Schedule

Hello All,

We have determined that holding the Hackathon activities only on Saturday and Sunday is the best course of action. After taking into consideration the responses received, discussions with stakeholders, and hurricane impacts, we decided to kick off the hackathon on Saturday, September 28, at 9 AM and end on Sunday, September 29, at 4 PM.

Teams participating in the hackathon will be allowed to use any technology stack they prefer. Hackathon organizers will provide participants access to the primary datasets and recommendations for secondary datasets. Academic and industry mentors will be available on Saturday to guide participants on teamwork planning, problem understanding, and solution approaches. Please review the Devpost page for the updated schedule for other details.

All participants are expected to work in person at The Link in Ponte Vedra, FL. A team can have a maximum of 3 members. After the kick-off event, those who are without a team can discuss joining one with others. We have created a discussion forum in Devpost to assist with team formation.

We completely understand that this modified schedule is not ideal for everyone. We hope most of you can still make it to Ponte Vedra for the weekend hackathon.

If any participants arrive late on Saturday morning and potentially miss the kickoff event, please look for Dr. Umapathy to receive information on the problem and datasets to get started.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Umapathy at k.umapathy@unf.edu.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

2024 AI4Good Hackathon Organizers
